St. Helen moved the steps of the palace of Pontius Pilate (which Jesus walked over) from Jerusalem to Rome. Now every day, thousands of pilgrims go up the steps on their knees.
All this magnificence attracts millions of From there we’ll head to the church of Sta. Croce in Gerusalemme, where your guide will show you some of the most important Christian relics in the world: a piece of the Cross of Jesus, a nail, 2 thorns of the Jesus’ Crown and the Tile.
Our last stop is the basilica of St. Mary Major, with the relic of Jesus’ Manger. The chapel Sistina and Paolina house the tombs of some of the most important popes of the XVI and XVII centuries, and it also styles original mosaics from the V century.
